Respectfully acknowledging organizational proprietary strategies and plans, these are a few examples of communication planning in action.

STEM Pre-Academy at UH Manoa
STEM Pre-Academy, a division of OVPRI- The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation sought to update its external communication channels, brand profile, and outreach strategies. A multi-tiered communication plan was developed to include a website redesign with an embedded online community, revitalized email marketing templates with active publication schedule, and a public relations portal/Newsroom to share organizational stories with the public.
This plan was crafted in three stages and culminated in early 2021. The new website was connected to Google Analytics and for the first time, the STEM Pre-Academy was able to access real-time metrics, providing greater insight into its target directives. Their website and supplemental communication resources now engage multiple stakeholders and drive the mission of the organization.

UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism
As Marketing Manager for UC Berkeley’s Advanced Media Institute, I designed all marketing action plans, moderated content on social media channels, published stories through the website and email marketing platforms, and directed SEO and SEM advertising campaigns.
Supplementary to this role, I worked with the UCB Graduate School of Journalism crafting a twelve-week plan to boost enrollment for the upcoming Fall application window. The strategy leveraged website content with an SEM campaign on Instagram, programmatic ad buys using targeted outlets, partnered with showcasing J-School highlights through webinars and video presentations.

WA-DNR/Cherry Point Aquatic Reserve
The Cherry Point Aquatic Reserve is one of eight aquatic reserves in Washington State governed by the Department of Natural Resources. The local citizen science collective wanted to publicly share educational content about the reserve to drive interest in its conservation efforts.
Working with DNR communication teams, I built the social media profile of CPAR which highlighted branded elements, local partnerships, an annual citizen science conference, and a publication schedule for content moderation. The site has been active for over six years now with an active online community presence and ties into local conservation alliances.

Philanthropy Northwest/ Whatcom Community Foundation
The Momentum Fellowship is a regional program that supports professionals of color in philanthropy who bring their cultural backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences into their workplace. As a Communications Fellow, I worked with the Whatcom Community Foundation to advance its mission through storytelling, digital media outreach, and stakeholder collaborations.
